I am quiet tonight

      because you are.

I know you are thinking about surgeons and tomorrow,  nothing in  particular

and what comes after… this. 

 You

         have been as brave as the distance allows.

I 

         have been as distant as my heart can stand. 

I  wanted to tell you to run,  skydive,  ride fast,

         live loudly 

instead let us talk about nothing

         because it feels like what you need.
